Maxims for the WriterA Poem by EruditeA collection of my wise quotes for us writers. I'll be adding to this as time progresses.
Vaguery is a great tool for artists.
Taking the time needed to search for the perfect word, or sentence structure, is what turns bronze writing into gold. Proper punctuation and grammar, though frowned upon, is your ultimate power in controlling the reader's pacing, and earning their respect, respectively. Write your first draft for yourself. Only afterwards consider the audience. The surest remedy for writer's block is to firmly pinch one's n*****s, then slowly twist back and forth. The best poems come not from linguistic capability, but rather an intrepidity for exploring one's own emotions. When in perilous doubt, use more adjectives. Pour your soul into a poem, for this is evident upon reading.
Be confident. Trust your writing capabilities. Anything worth writing is also worth revising. © 2018 EruditeAuthor's Note
