PopularityA Poem by EruditeNever concede to toxic conformity. You're better than thatFall in line, my friend. Hand us your face. For this is the price of power. Your identity is the price of popularity. But who needs themselves anyway? Individuality is a hindrance, When there's currency to be made. The only way to the top Is to follow the signs. Reading, "Don't walk on the grass." And "Cover your a*s." Join us, as we mock the others. The ones who chose to love themselves. Let's take that from them, You'll feel better about your choices afterward. We'll teach you to walk, to talk, Our way, Since you clearly haven't found The secret to charisma. Take this silver, splitted-tongue, But never forget it's a loan. And our interest payments will be extracted, Painfully, from you, Because what rises must fall. He who walks through fire must turn to ashes. So, fly in our formation, If you wish not to be left behind. Look at the individuals, Tormented by their resilience. You wouldn't wish that for yourself, Would you? Would you rise against us?
