![]() Untitled 3A Poem by AliceTears in my eyes as I tell you, My feet have grown so far from me. To think: At birth I was so small. Despite my size, Nothing ever seemed too far away. Now I have to reach to my toes, Stretch. I imagine rings, Like those that grow in trees, Growing in my body. From my navel out, They grow. Every year, every moment, I grow. Often times I long for the old days. I long to be as small physically, As I feel. When I was young, Nothing seemed too far away, But now I see the hugeness. Now I see I am small. © 2011 AliceAuthor's Note
