Counting Constellations

Counting Constellations

A Poem by S. A. Venus
"

just something that came to me suddenly

"

It has been said

that when dreams die

the passion for living

inevitably follows

To those who have given up the fight

just remember that

despite how insignificant it may seem

there is purpose to our existence

and holding on to love

is the key to survival

Take hold of fate with pride

trust its open hand

and the world

shall remove its shadowed veil

Go forth into the night

with clearer perceptions

You will never be alone

whilst counting constellations

for they are the streetlights

of angels guarding our souls

About
I have a tendency to write mostly "free verse", I have written some lyrics and they will appear on the site gradually. I don't like being defined by style anyway, I just try to convey a message or at .. more..
