Satin And Grey

Satin And Grey

A Poem by S. A. Venus
"

written at the tender age of 16 about unrequited love, some 19 years ago now.

"

Paint me a picture of satin and grey

My life has been empty since you went away

Colour it dark with the shades of the night

Bring in the clouds that have misted my sight

Pick me a flower that has withered and died

Destroyed so quickly by the tears that I've cried

The petals have fallen, they lay scattered around

And beauty has faded to dust on the ground

About
I have a tendency to write mostly "free verse", I have written some lyrics and they will appear on the site gradually. I don't like being defined by style anyway, I just try to convey a message or at .. more..
