RedA Poem by Erica Ross
I've decided to let go
So that's what I'm going to do These insatiable holes in our hearts Are pains that I'll never get used to I lust for what you want You love what I need It's been going on for so long The thin lines are beginning to bleed No one, not even you Knows how I feel when I'm alone No fib, all truth For something to belong to, I've never fully known A walking oxymoron I need you, but I won't show You're not a mind-reader But I thought you should know Love ain't so easy At least that's what I think Curse my charming words Painting pictures while I speak They all move on anyway Even if I push them, or on their own I can't say that I am used to it But I have grown numb So I've decided to let go And that's what I'm going to do This insatiable hole in my heart Is a pain I'll never get used to. © 2014 Erica RossReviews
