Forgive Me

Forgive Me

A Poem by Erica Ross

Never intended for bad intentions
But I knew this from the beginning
Ignoring my intuition.
The things we do for love
Push out the truth and believe what we feel
Cause for all we know, what we feel is the real.
But I apologize for this demise
Never meant to waste your time
I'll forever cherish the time that you were mine
But I can't hold a stable love without a stable mind.
All I am is a soul who's looking for a way
And from time to time I pick up another soul to follow me
It's never easy to let them go
Looking into your eyes, crushing your soul
But I can't taint you anymore
And when I feel the hurt
That is when I know
It is time to let go of your heart
And for me, a new start.
But you'll always have a piece of me.
Forever and always..
Forgive me.

Thank you so much :))
AH Breakup poem from the breakuper instead of the breakupee. That's how I read it anyway. Good one

An enjoyable write about loss of love and the pain one feels, the need to forgive and be forgiven. Well done.
