You know, you're not as bad as everyone tries to make you seem

You're a pretty good guy, just trying to help us fulfill our dreams

I know why some people don't like you

Why they don't wanna follow your rules

Cause they're so stuck in the world

And following you would be "uncool"

But even when we sin

You always forgive if we ask and really mean

You're actually looking out for us

You just want us to do the right thing

You know that mistakes are human nature

And we will make those for as long as we live

You just want us to obey

Because you are our father

And we are your kids

I look to you because you are my creator

And you have all of the answers

But sometimes I get confused

And I don't know how to surpass them

But then you look down on me

You give me this satisfied smile

I can hear you speak to me

You say, ''Worry no more my child."

In your time, I receive peace

That is how I know it's from you

For if I want true happiness

I know it must come through you.

Yes I do believe that true happiness comes only with Jesus in our lives. Without Him we are searching for things to fill the emptiness inside that only He can fill. He always has a better plan for us than what we can dream up, we just gotta trust in Him and to learn how to wait (which I'm still working on lol)
