Everything Will Be Okay

It's a love/hate thing with my mind and I
Cause in times like these, I'm my greatest in the midst of trials
When my mind is telling me to leave it alone and tone it down, my heart says keep fighting, keep your faith tight
When everything around me is trying to bring me down, I maintain a smile
And even if you catch me with a frown, it'll be gone in no time

Man, sometimes living life is just too much work
But I'd rather keep living it and just surpass the hurt
Giving up is harder for a fighter like me
I don't do defeat, and defeat never did me

Then there are those days when I'm so close to crying
Eyes are boiling, I say I'm fine, but I'm lying
And then I hear a voice that says it's okay, you can let it out
Cause I keep so much in, and whatever is in is always bound to come out

When my tears are gone, I regain my focus
Regaining my composure so no one will worry
No one will understand my struggle, you will never understand my fury
I'll take some things with me even when I'm buried

But at the end of the day
All that I know, all that I can say..
It's going to be alright
Everything is going to be okay.
