A Body

A Body

A Poem by Erica Ross

A body..
It's more than just skin, bones, blood, and muscles
To me, a body is a feeling
The way some bodies feel when they are against yours
Or the way some bodies make you feel with only a glance
Even the way a body can put one in a trance as you watch its dance
Forgive my rudeness, but sometimes I just sit and stare
How some bodies sit voluptuously in a chair, and when they should stand, their bodies sway gracefully through the air
Please excuse my hands when they are tempted to touch
Please excuse my excitement when I get a certain rush
But it's hard to contain my fetish with the body
When all that I see are beautiful bodies around me
And to the babe that may have caught me staring in class
Don't be afraid, just smile and laugh
Cause what you give me is a feeling
And I'm just anxious to get you to feel me
