Wish You Were HereA Poem by JayParamoNot based on Pink Floyd, I promise.
I sit at home, staring at my phone as the pitch white screen illuminates my face. I text you all hours of the day, and when you get time we talk on the phone for barely 20 minutes. Your voice is beautiful but when you have to go I break down. I miss you and everything about you.
I wish you were here. At school I sneak my phone under my desk while the teacher talks about something I haven't understood since September. I never pay attention anymore, I just wanna talk to you. I want to go in the bathroom and call you, I don't care if I'm in there all day. I just wanna be with you. I wish you were here. The best part is, you say I'm the best. Every day you get pissed at me over something new but I don't f*****g care. I just like hearing your voice and knowing you're really there. I'm nowhere near a good boyfriend but you stay because... I don't know why you stay. But I love you. And most of all. I wish you were here. © 2013 JayParamo |
