Hurst's HearseA Poem by JayParamoLong distance a little more... Poetic if you will.
It's like we're in one big white room
Separated by a single plexiglass wall I see you every day I can talk to you til the break of dawn I do whatever I damn well please Except for one big thing I cant hug you I cant kiss you Touching is forbidden because of the malevolent rule of distance Minors can't cross this plane alone They need approval We'll never get it So we try with rebellion's revolver I c**k the hammer of love Squeeze the trigger but my will bounces off And only ricochets into my leg Despite my blood leaking out I continue emptying rounds into the glass Shrapnel numbs all but my finger You scream and tell me to stop I've lost 7 pints But the wall has yet to crack So we give up We've lost our will to fight anymore So we'll settle for the plexiglass wall Where we can never hug Or cuddle Or kiss We waste hours talking about menial ideas And philosophies that defy the limits of the mind But at the end of the night we curl up as close as we can To the bloodstained glass My hand presses against yours through it I think I can feel your warmth But it's only an illusion My heart trying to tell me you're better off on your side And I'm better off on mine But I vow one day I'll break that wall down with my bare hands My ring is in my back pocket I swear to you That we will be one © 2013 JayParamo |
