The End of TimeA Story by JayParamoTo contrast with yesterday's breakup poem, I decided to half-a*s write a partially true romance story thingy thing. Hope you like it!
"How long you think we'll be together for, Ray?" Hillary asked me.
I responded with the usual, "Until the end of time." Hillary was the best thing that had ever happened to me. By god, she was the epitome of perfection. She was a cute girl of Japanese descent, her long hair always sprawled out over my legs as we spent what seemed like years on Poly Prep's clock tower. Her glasses shimmered with the sun's rays, and her smile... Her smile was the greatest thing on this Earth. Whenever I used a sappy line to make her laugh, that smile always brightened up my day. Her giggle always made me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, because I could make that giggle happen. I could make her feel like the queen of the world. We met on a cold, January night back in 2012. I was a huge World of Warcraft player back then, and my eyes rarely ever left the screen. I used the game's Dungeon Finder to get a random group going, and we spawned in the instance within minutes of queuing up. I was looking over everyone's classes and specs, to see how we could do this without miserably screwing up. 'Okay, a hunter, paladin tank, shaman, and a mage, to go along with a druid healer. This is gonna be interesting' One of their names stuck out to me, though. The hunter, a seemingly experienced Blood Elf Hunter. Her name was Vickyrattlehead. Now if you're at all a fan of heavy metal, reader, Vic Rattlehead is Megadeth's mascot. And I f*****g love Megadeth. After annihilating the dungeon's boss and collecting out loot, I messaged her. Turns out we had a lot in common, even where we lived! I gave her the benefit of the doubt and met up with her, after video chatting and texting all day and all night for months, of course. Her text read, "Meet me at Dyker Park on 86th and 13th avenue, by the swing set at 7." It was 7:05. I started getting really impatient when a little hand tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and my jaw hit the floor. It was her. The gorgeous girl who has been my obsession for the last 3 months is finally here. I hugged her, and jokingly tapped my watch, saying "You're late!" She replied cleverly "Ray, a wizard is never late, and is never early. She arrives exactly when she means to." Good god we're f*****g nerds, huh? Anyway, we walked the streets of Dyker Heights and I fell for her. Well I did before, because she was perfect, but now I got to be with her for an entire day. We constantly were around each other, and when I popped the sappy "Will you be my girlfriend?" question, she happily accepted. Fast forward a year later. It's June 17th, exactly one year since I asked her out. I wanted to do something special for her, that would repay her for how happy she made me. I took her to Poly Prep, where my uncle works. He let us tour the entire campus, and I left her little surprises wherever we went. In the chapel was a Rust in Peace t-shirt, and in the music room was a custom skateboard with the Horde's logo on the bottom. Finally, I led her all the way up a flight of stairs to the clock tower. You couldn't believe the view. It looked like something out of a movie. I turned to her and said something she always wanted to hear. "Hillary Yao, happy one year anniversary." I leaned in and gave her a deep, passionate kiss. One I'd been yearning for. I leaned back on the clock, sitting on the cement and letting my thighs be her pillow. "How long you think we'll be together for, Ray?" Hillary asked me. I responded with the usual, "Until the end of time." © 2013 JayParamoAuthor's Note
