Child-like InnocenceA Poem by DearWorldA poem written with my six lil' sibs in mind.Sweet serene faces Filled with childish wisdom. Beautiful bright eyes Reflecting the future. Shining smiles Like rainbows, Glimmering hope in the rain.
Be careful what you hear Little ears. Be careful what you say Little mouth. Don't strip away Your child-like innocence.
Who would defile Such a halo of hope? Who would take Away the sunshine To leave nothing but bitterness?
Please. Leave us our innocence.
