Blue Heart

I had a talk the other day, a much needed talk, with my heart. It didn't go very well, at least I did not go the way I thought it would.

I had a talk the other day with my heart, 

I told it "you really have to stop being so sad all the time." 

It said nothing, but everything 

My heart gave me a look of grief, it was sad to let me down, but it doesn't know what to do. 

I tried to tell it a joke, sing a little song, even tried reminding it all the things it used to love. 

But my heart told me, "I just need some space." 

I told it that I could not do that; I needed my heart. 

My heart took a pause and looked back up to me and said, "I needed you too."
