Bohemia

Bohemia

A Poem by Erin Lee
"

A dream I had this morning and did not want to wake up from. (Thank you, muse!) I'll see you soon in SoHo.

Bohemia

(On the place in my dreams)

By Erin Lee

I’ve found it -

tucked in the ground

near the old furniture store.

Between hopelessly lost

and happily found

she puts her tattered bags down.

No locks on the door -

members only.

Between alley ways

and faded haze

writing dreams on the wall

in marker.

Where broken men bring teddy bears

sleeping in rows

Under shared muses

who watch over them.

He dances

and no one calls him a f****t

for twisting at the ballet bar.

Sashay today -

paint splatters like fireworks.

She grins

building , never tearing down.

Old school house

wrapped in foam.

I’ve found it and I’ll never

Let it go.

This is soothingly sublime.....like a solemn lullaby. You dreamed this, and now you've painted it for the reader to be sucked in and dream it with you. WOW! It flowed, it swayed, it was quite the experience. How no one has yet to eat this up is a bone fide wonder! Well done!
