Word TossingA Poem by Erin LeeJust for fun. (Cause that's how I roll). ;-)Word Tossing By Erin Lee I threw a word up into the air and it landed on my tongue Tasting, twisting, teasing, twirling, then Tossing it toward the moon, it melted more Mortal, mindless, mad, monotonous, might I have the chance to take it back again and start Over, overtly offering obscurity on occasion, or Should I have thought it through to its naked bones Back, begin, believing beyond buoyancy, but Time is short for such remorse in nine to five’s Clock chasing charade comes creeping close, cause Words will wander wistfully without woes, wafting And I shall pen, pin, plop, pluck them down. © 2011 Erin Lee |
