Inside Myself

Inside Myself

A Poem by Erin Lee

Inside Myself

There's only one place to go

so deep inside myself, my soul.

I'll curl up like an infant child,

tucked behind an awkward smile.

In this place there is no judge

(hair is knotted twice for love).

Goodbye hatred,

I've got to jet . . .

Once place for me, left visit -

deep inside myself, my soul.

I'll sleep beneath my wild heart,

counting beats I'd forgot.

In this place there is no hate

(dancing barefoot has its grace).

Goodbye, cruel world

I'll climb inside.

Don't look for me -

I've made up my mind.

There's only one place left to go

deep inside myself, my soul.

I'll play with dreams inside my mind

forgetting, now, to watch the time.

I really liked this and the rhyming was nicely placed and did not seem forced..I enjoyed the read!

I love this. I don't really read others writting on here, because normally i dont feal the connection between the writter and their words. This is amazing. It made me connect with you and myself deep inside. This made me experience a different emotion from what i was feeling before i read this. I love it. You're great.

Sometime only place to find reason and answers is in internal thoughts in the mind and soul. I like the feel of this poem. Some wisdom can be took from your words. A outstanding poem. I like the feel and struggle to find peace.
