Socks & Lava Lamps

by Erin L George

Making love with socks on

mine, lime with hearts

and his

and hers

(he prefers white cotton).

She wraps her pastey thighs

in black stalkings

and hopes he won't notice the scar

beneat the lace

where another man cut her.

He always takes his time

kissing lines,

from her heels to the arch

of her estacy, blind.

Making love with lights on

bright, prime with hope

his

and hers

(she prefers lava lamps).
