A Perfect Moment

A Perfect Moment

A Poem by Erin Lee

A Perfect Moment

Moments come fleeting in life where you know there’s more
And virtues, good or bad, have a way of being tossed aside
The only thing mattering, in seconds such as these
Taste sweeter, somehow, blessed on copper dreams
How can one explain the force of breath - as it comes alive?
Even if they could, you see, justice is not realized
Who'd dare attempt to try? ...Moments come fleeting in life
Tossed at unsuspecting souls, swept up in the breeze
Yelping to be understood, finally giving heed
Lovers, for good or grief, have a way of hearing
Earnest calls in night, hopeful now, again in dream
Rare is ever, if, such a call to fate. Who'd beg accept it blind?
God must have tried. Asking me to shut my eyes
And destiny, good or bad, beckons at my fear
Giving me a piece of you, fleeting as it may appear
Eagar I shall suck it in: This moment, dear, is mine.
Please, my 'perfect moment man,' would you care to join?

There something so amazingly deep about this. It sounds awfully nice and elegant but most of time, I'm not quite sure what it's trying to say. Even so, I still find your words very creative and thus, creating such beautiful flow.

Keep Writing. ^___^
