WonderingA Poem by Erin LeeCome back to life!Wondering by Erin L George
Emerald eyes that carry pain melancholy I cannot explain. I search his gaze for something more - lost to something I cannot ignore. Dare I take him on a ride? I wonder, is he dead inside?
Monotony owns his tone no ups, no downs, not even moans. I search his voice for something new - no answers here is the snafu. Dare I question how he sighs? I wonder, is he dead inside?
Words he speaks are memorized like actors dancing between their lines. I search his verse for something else - end up feeling like a louse. Dare I ask him change his mind? I wonder, is he dead inside? © 2010 Erin Lee |
