Black Fairy

Black Fairy

A Poem by Erin Lee

Black Fairy

as subtle as an eyelash blink

she flutters to and fro

mischief tucked within her locks

sporting stately grin

awkward limbs spinning grace

tempting them to sin

as regal as a mother bee

she steers her magic so

An unusual poem - at first it seems short and simple but once you begin to read, it becomes a complex and interesting read. I like the seeming contradiction of awkward limbs and spinning grace, and the imagery of an eyelashes. A beautifully written piece - Well done!
