I was never afraid of the dark

I was never afraid of spiders

I have never been afraid of much

But now you have changed that

 

I am scared to death

of what I might become

if I can't have you

for myself

 

I fear everyday

that I may lose you

in some way or another

and it nearly breaks my heart

 

If that every truly does happen

Not only will I lose you

I will lose myself along with you

for we are not two but one

 

I can't be without you

I need you to ease my fears

to tell me everything will be okay

tell me we will always be

 

It may sound selfish

 for me to want you all to myself
