lake eyes

lake eyes

A Poem by InsidiousRain

look at your eyes
the color of the crest of a wave
as the sun shines through
before a rainstorm.
rimmed with black
hiding the worry lines that spiral outwards
like the ripples that come
when a rock is thrown
into your little lake.
hiding the red tint that comes
when the tears fall
like raindrops
into your little lake.
spattering into your little lake
splashing out of your lake-filled eyes
smudging the black
as it falls from your pale lids
into your small hands
the hands you hate.

About
Some people are sheep. Some are politicians. Some are wisemen, leaders. A black and white world. Me? I'm that queer kid. Whoever has the faintest idea where I'm going, it sure as hell isn't me. .. more..
