twists of fate

twists of fate

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

twists of fate

Hemingway's sky

filled with white elephants

a bare mountain canopy

ivory clouds

an expensive franchise

God's circular motion

as the earth endures

black rhinos scamper

no rain allowed

a woman's irony

the man understands

and smiles

feels a few drops

hit his shoulder

hears the echo splinter the sky
