I used to play softball so I know that sweet spot is very hard to find. So, too, is the sweet spot of romance that enables those home runs to be hit.
Most of the time lovers end up hitting each other with verbal ball bats instead of having fun on the sofa field.
An impressive metaphor and I can relate to it in both contexts.
