Misdemeanor

Misdemeanor

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Misdemeanor

I am not a capitalist

in fact,

my life is mostly

lower case

the kind you don't win in court

but get 90 days

60 with good behavior

and some decent poems.

That is kind of you to say, Julie...means a lot that I might inspire another poet every so often.read more
I can relate to this in way of writing...well, I find lowercase creative. Sometimes formality kills creativity. I do not feel guilty with the style because everyone has his own to show.

Yes, they surely do...thank you for your words, Dhaye,

my life is mostly
lower case
. . .
(I'm taking my favorite part and stashing it here. Hope you don't mind. Sometimes, lowercase is the perfect way to be.)

Oh, the criminality of a good poem. While it's the smallest misdemeanor, a good verse or two deserves life in prison. (Especially since I didn't think of it myself ;D)

Please, keep writing, although you seem to have no problem with that.

Thank you for your very kind review, DOW,
j.
I had to smile at your 'misdemeanor', Jacob. I think though, the muse goddess has given you a life sentence, because while you are not a 'capitalist', your poetic verse is a high felony. may you continue to commit high crimes of metaphoric passion!!! Sorry Jacob, I think they lost the keys to your cell. Write On Brother, Write On!!! ;0)

If they lost the keys, I just hope the meals are good.
Thank you, Curt,
