A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

aftermath

rays of golden sunshine

reflect the ruins

a porch handrail

                             survives

Thank you, Dylan,

The destruction encompassed within the rays of the sun. That porch hand rail tells the whole tragic story. A real sadness that everything has gone. Painful to contemplate.

This is sad. Remnants of destruction, reminders of what is lost. Jacob this pulls at heart strings. Whether real or metaphoric it hurts. A good poem pulls on emotions and this one does
