I've always loved the phrase "good cry"
This is a very heavy subject and you have handled it very emotionally, sir. I admired the last stanza, it is very powerful.

Yes, such an oxymoron.
Thank you for your very kind review.

Tears are therapeutic.
It breaks the dam of love lost, hurt ,death, betrayal…
The list is endless, but one thing I know for sure ,is that after the tears comes reflection.
The constricted throat lined with hurt becomes relaxed…
Then reason gradually sets in.
I can relate.
Than you Erin

As a mother and grandmother, this poem touched me. So many young people dying as a result of conflict or crime. Whether in Ukraine or Gaza, or even on the streets at home, to lose a child in such circumstances, is a cancer of hurt. Crying is what we do, to help ease the unbearable pain.
one of the pillars on which life rests is irony, another is paradox. a cry can be "good," and often laughter can be hurtful. love, life, and death have always been, are, and will perhaps forever remain great mysteries.
