Treacherous

Treacherous

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Treacherous

the snow in my eye
became slippery-slush in my heart
upon which
I lost balance

and fell for you
flake by flake by flake

The romantic nature of this one caught me off-guard. Nicely done. ~Jim

Thank you, Jim,

Beautiful poetry showing a soft hearted you. Falling flake by flake. Just lovely. There is a sting in the title though, without doubt.

Yes, isn't it always the way that we melt in glacial increments, never even suspecting the thud when it comes as we fall.
A bit like the straw that broke the camels back, but in snowflake form!

Thanks, Lorry,

I love this one, it's beautiful. The way you describe the snow melting into slush in your heart and losing balance is such a unique and captivating metaphor for falling in love.
