karaoke of the unwashed

karaoke of the unwashed

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

karaoke of the unwashed

windmills wake wind chimes

into fake chorus

lies push clouds into view

as the sound deafens

sense

that just goes round and round

becoming a steady rain.

"as the sound deafens
sense"....

I think that says more about this generation, possibly, than I've ever read..

either they are not listening or they are not heard it seems...
thank you, Light,

The normalization of Unnormal, numbing as a steady rainfall, written in metaphor, well, apt and concise :)

You are welcome
There’s alot of noise in this short write. Those wind chimes are going nuts. Jarring on the mind. I want to put my hands over my ears. For me this is political j. There’s a lot I don’t want to hear.

Such a clever title and the poem with alliteration, short phrases brilliant images make sense of it all.

' lies push clouds into view, as the sound deafens sense. '
Ouch ! The truth hurts. While you've written a short poem, the message within is very clear !

Well done, Jacob !
My best to you.

Thank you for your kind words, Brandy,

My impression is that the leaders of our society (chorus) has become one big lie with fake actors...unfortunately we must contend with this, until the wind blows the other way...The rain will be steady until 2028....
(this is pretty out there, but that's what came to mind)
Warmly, B

Yes, the rain will be steady until then.
Thank you for your words, Betty,

Erin,
My well broke Friday evening so I am presently unwashed... and the last time I sang karaoke, everyone laid on the floor and cried for mercy... three of 'em died. The windmills here are ponderous in their turning, and I've never heard their hum, but sometimes when the clouds are low all you can see is one blade at a time into the rain.

You are funny...some of what you said here sounded like the comedian Steven Wright.

You might as-well dance. Storms emotional or otherwise are just that, a false chorus is a chorus nevertheless.
