A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

on the night of

departure on arrival
pieces of
a transport to heaven
scattered riverboats
searching for remains
of frozen angels

So much tragedy in quick succession. You are blest to quickly articulate… I must have a four-quartered bovine udder… hats off 👍🏻🙏🏻🕊

Thank you, Freds,
j.
There has been so much loss and chaos reported in the news as of late. This is done with great care in a few words. It speaks of the tragic clashing of planes and the search for the remain of the souls who have now ventured to heaven.

Thank you for your kind words...so sad,
j.
Yes, you wrote it so tenderly...though it was a terrible disaster... of such magnitude...it makes one shiver...
it could have been avoided....prayers for those angels....
Warmly, B

You are always welcome, j.
I think the incident may have a depressing effect on air travel to DC.

It will be in passengers' minds for an awfully long time.
Poignant and timely one has to ask what happened? Though we will get a story will it be the truth? Mystery in the river so well set in your poem's words. Just as all good poems should do, so much in so little. The poem evokes strong emotions another sign of a great poem

I always imagine the terror those involved must feel until death claims them.
