Torn between one Lover

Torn between one Lover

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Torn between one Lover

sporadic heartbeats
cannot decide
to hate or love you

their sound is diminishing
one way or the other
getting fainter
slighter
as the decision emerges

then
            I kiss you
and say goodbye.

Sad bittersweet read. Goodbyes are necessary at times but always sorrowful.

Yes, extremely.
Thank you, Mary.

It is all gone now. I still don’t know whether to love or hate. Doesn’t matter because it is gone now.
Exactly what I felt in these words. Great writing.

Thank you for your kind review, Senu.

Along time ago someone taught me "When in doubt... don't."
And ever since i have applied that to many unrelated things and i have never regretted my decision Jacob.
Saying goodbye with a kiss is a lovely way to move on..

Thank you, Stella,

they often talk about "the long goodbye". at least your goodbye is sealed with a kiss. perhaps in the near future you will have a long hello!!!??? wasn't there a Beatles song called "Hello, Goodbye"?
"You say hello
and I say goodbye.
why you say, hello, hello
and I say goodbye".

One thing is for sure Jacob, I will never kiss and tell, or say goodbye to your poetry!!

There is a fine line between love and hate. Kissing before saying goodbye sounds so civilized.
