The very real real

The very real real

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

The very real real

do you still remember me

when the lights of suggestion

are darkened by unobstructed

truth

could you still love me

when i stand before you

naked and flawed

it is all rhetorical

to think that we deserve

another's attention

in our most ebony moments

so, i must clothe myself

in apology

and wait until you

reach for my shadow.

These are questions we all have in our
Minds at times. Sometimes it’s for a person we and sometimes for me those are questions I ask God. I know the answer to the latter but those questions for earthly beings is a whole other matter.

I love the complete thought and question penned in this poem.
