Snow White Darkness

Snow White Darkness

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Snow White Darkness

ice assembles

on the street

a massive protest

causing a frozen disturbance

a chaotic crowd of

spinning convertibles

drivers with eye icicles

Signs carried saying

"slow down, life will wait"

tree branches glisten

with the sunlight

as the mob melts slowly

dripping pipes roar into being

little faces wrapped in electricity

the lights are on

everyone was already

home

i am home

in my cold self.

Powerful imagery and use of the senses. I felt this.

Thank you, Thomas,
j.
The title alone grabbed my attention. ' Snow White Darkness. '
True on many levels.

Yes, sunlight does make the mob melt slowly. Not fast enough for some.
There's something magical about ' tree branches ' that ' glisten. '

Staying inside where it's nice and warm is wonderful too. : )

This is so beautifully written and presented, Jacob.
