tip me over

tip me over

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

tip me over

there is a flat fee
for breaking my heart
but you made such
competent commitment
of it,
i will have to indulge you
a cumbersome gratuity
so you never
forget me---

weightily winsome words.

consequences.... our words and deeds have consequences. and "weightily winsome" poetry like this one Jacob, is the consequence for breaking your heart. No, I don't think you will be forgotten, Jacob.

cleverly cerebral. everything has its price. it's never pleasant when the bill comes due.

If they're going to break your heart then they should, hopefully, at least make that competent commitment. Nicely worded. ~Jim

You should have sung her that song by Sir Elton John and Kiki Dee from the start. I take my kid and let her leave a gratuity at the restaurant. We always get great service and extras! Last time she got a free refill on her drink to take away and a free chocolate brownie. I wish I knew her trick. (laughing)

At first glance the reader smiles but then the weight of sadness sets in. Nicely done my friend.
