the little mirror

the little mirror

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the little mirror

the impact

of her compact

the sweet blush

the perfectly settled skin

lipstick tracing her mouth

with impeccable curl

scarlet red roving in sensual

scratch

my bleeding reception

to her advance

I have become a souvenir

in her purse of pursuers

she smiles

at her reflection
