the thief's tattoo

the thief's tattoo

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the thief's tattoo

the ripe velocity

of a pickpocket lover

quickly eluding

then disappearing into the crowd

she weeps

her purse filled with regrets

and pills

that won't soothe the heartache

she will never get those feelings back

he was too good at his craft
