Soulless

Soulless

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Soulless

I took a gander

at substance abuse once

but then withdrew immediately

to my shallow self

where I felt safe.

Wish I could say the same , but I got to the edge of substance abuse and dove in for years. Nice write. ~Jim
