the poet's interview

the poet's interview

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the poet's interview

i spilled sonnets on my suit
my tie tread with trochees
veritable verbiage confounding
i hid the senryu stains best i could
but they still shone through with their
short sheen splendor
i removed all the rhymes
but the bleached bland ballads
branched out in oxymoron
occasion
ruining my chances of creating a good impression

This one comes across as having been fun to write... but those senryu stains can be tough. ~Jim

Brilliant! 😊😊
So very clever Jacob. Don’t trip over any loose grammar marking the floor. A gem of a write.
