Being Jeff Goldblum

Being Jeff Goldblum

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Being Jeff Goldblum

heading home to things
and you
tarantula web envelops me
in stray fly thoughts
a buzzing in my ear much like
your soft voice has me trapped
in venomous recoil,
i want to take off from this disillusioned nest
of contaminated dreams
heading home to things
and you
but glued feet to a consorting fool
i am
stuck
and you
heading home to things
i can't reach
no matter how hard i spin my wings.

Jeff was good in the movie Fly. Like the metaphors here J and the imagery of a fly is spot on. Such a clever write. It’s funny it’s a fly’s disregard for what is that gets the fly in trouble and how easily is the fly attracted to trouble.

Thank you, Arundass,
j.
Wow! Trapped in her web, can't escape her, can't achieve those things; being stuck is a serious problem needing to be free.
I know Jeff has been married 3 times.
I like him and his many talents.

Me too...I am referencing The Fly...in which he excelled....oh those pesky metaphorical flies.
