A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the latest Noah replica

the vast majority

of heaven gazers

see visions of the promise land

but this god is not their Moses

there is no Canaan left

the map was lost when the river parted

now they will all drown in belief

the lifeguards were false prophets

and the Ark a mirage in a sea

of deception.

But it wasn't ever Noah, saving anyone or anything in the Biblical story. He just did as he was instructed and his faith delivered him. The one time Moses didn't listen he was punished by not being allowed to enter the "promised land". It was those in disbelief who perished in the Noah story. Just providing perspective on the allegory. Nicely crafted. F.

dear Jacob… when a few people destroy an Empire that protects the People .. there should be a Parting of the 🌊 🌊 Waves. We must be Brave and 🙏 Pray for Divine Guidance to bring Dignity to our Land. Amen.. Pat

This great poem says so much to me about the niavity of present education and dare I say it religion. If it doesn't fit personally it doesn't work. And so I will follow the majority just because it is the majority and I will not use education and experience to discover for myself. This a powerful write from an thoughtful poet.

So true. Personally I believe in a creator. I look around and see created things. I just don’t think humanity has the intellectual chops to understand what’s really going on.

Poet succeeded in portraying in some shades of religion. Self discipline and paying respect to world are in might have rooted from GOD within us just pondering. For some individuals especially like mine at least for now I am surviving as I am in HIS boat and pray boat not shaken as it will put me deep in to perhaps cruel hands of depression

Arch rivals tell you that God is on their side. So convinced they are with their own beliefs. I just ponder. Who the hell is right? I haven’t got a clue. Religion is the source of far too many battles.

Yes, good question...who the hell is right?

Wow! one metaphor after another. Enki's rib is missing but maybe Gilgamesh will find it in the garden. What a fun poem my friend. I always speak of god in the metaphoric sense.
