Powerful dance of words and thoughts Jacob. Very hard to awaken a sleeping heart of a woman. If we can rebirth a smile. Maybe we helped? Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

When love dies and disregard and indifference raise their ugly heads, that smile is rarely reborn; though vestiges of what once was almost always remain.
so lovely, well written,
when an angel cries
shows the love of companionship
and the last lines were perfect,
within the womb of her tears
resides a smile just waiting
to be reborn. loved it
Beautiful metaphors and images in this quite sad piece. Like John I see this interpretation as well but it could be taken in other forms as well. So nicely worded it runs through the mind like the rivulet of a tear.

"like the rivulet of a tear"---Thank you for that.

The angel alluded to here is symbolic of an angelic person. The sun at which she stares is one who was the center of her universe, but who didn't appreciate her. The lack of pulse indicates that waiting smile may be stillborn.
When an Angel cries it is in sadness for a little bit of love which has died inside. The emptiness in her eyes is testimony to that as she stars but sees nothing. It's like a big empty hole inside her filled with a well of tears. When the tears are all shed, she may decide to give him another chance and so a smile is born to herald a new beginning. Superbly penned poem with the most haunting imagery! Lovely work, Jacob. Thank you for sharing...
dear Jacob.. we are in the midst of Angels where the Earth is turning and Spirits of the Sun are smiling .. there must be a way to be drawn to the Solace of the Soul that yearns for a Dawn… a new beginning … your poetry touches beyond the perimeter of Power. Be 😇 blessed my friend. Amen .. Pat
I am always pondering new ways to use the word "angel"
"vastly disturbed like crushed ice",
is just an absolutely first class idea.
Perhaps my ability to appreciate tears can be reborn after reading this.
perhaps not,
but either way,
well written...
