sorry there is no poem here,

"Gone fishing" for words

if they strike

I will angle them into some verse

that will take the bait of metaphorical insanity

the catch might be worth it

if the meaning is properly

filleted

I will be back from day

and write into night

if you inhale the scent

of the poems frying

after being critically panned

maybe it will drive you insane as well

so just take a small bite at first

let it digest

and watch out for the hook

the barbs might be enlightening.

Fish and chips; words and metaphors; pen and ink. Chew before you digest.
Happy Memorial day sir Jacob.

So true and well said dear poet and friend; sad but true. You are welcome sir
It seems dear j that some will do anything for the next poem and fishing has suddenly become very popular in some quarters while others gawp on. Clever write . Great metaphors here.

I am going to gawp now, Chris...but first, I must figure out what that is.

Clever, clever you Jacob. I've been "fishing" for a muse of worth since December 2014( my debut in the cafe) but am still waiting for the catch that is worth bragging about:)
