I loved the way it all vanished in the end. Like an abrupt ending to a dream. Is it something like life itself, my friend? In an instant the window closes and we remember nothing of what we had....The poem resonated on many levels and I loved it. You have magic in your pen.
fleeting memories, vivid for an instant, gone the next.
Some cozy as kittens, some sharp as spears ...mostly the latter.
Thanks Jacob, it's always a comfort knowing it's not just me.

A window to another place, dimension, only briefly attainable. Haunting yet touching that private soul that most of us feel, a fire burnt low in faith once held, in God, evil and love. It's embers still burning seem to regrettably go out with the closing of the window. And with the end of a relationship so does faith in the fable of love as we defend against pain through loss of its memory. Never opening the inbox. Most beautiful words Jacob that touch a common thread of humanity in love lost.
