A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Blank Verse

I am currently unpublished

unavailable

an unworded sonnet

the rhyme vanished at birth

the meter lost in pregnancy

I am a poem

that has never been reviewed

because it was never seen

Reading me is a haphazard fallacy

I don't exist except in the mind of a poet

who has no conception

I will never be born

the womb will never allow

life with my words as parent

imagine what you will

then write me in your own mind

that will do.

Indeed, it must be the final line. I enjoyed this one.

Thank you, mou,

It’s like survival of the fittest, yes how many lines never see the light of day lost to the heavens or buried in the mind like some pyramid waiting to be unearthed. I like this write J and so well written too.

some pyramids need to stay earthed. Thank you, andrew.

This almost reminds me of a woman who can’t have children writing about a child that will never write this sonnet because they shall never be conceived. Sad and melodramatic but that is how my mind perceived this particular poem

Poetic Beauty

You are welcome
How many ideas from poets probably fell by the wayside unwritten? How many would-be poets decided not to let anyone see what they wrote out of fear of embarrassment? And how many just couldn't get the jist of their main idea because the words were never right?

Things to ponder from your poem's idea.

Thank you, Relic...I bet a gazillion poems never got to fruition because of these very reasons.

This is the poem that I have not yet written and even less have not imagined. I have experienced the not reviewed part before. A wonderful write that when read I am not sure if is humor or reality of a sad type. Liked it.

Thank you for your very kind words, Soren,

To all those would be poets who make the effort to poem and post and don’t get any reviews. Or even worse have an idea and never write the poem. Don’t give up. Stick with it.

This Review does not exist, and I did not write it.
Heck, I'm not even sure I exist, but I guess I must as these words that I did not write did not write themselves.
Good one Jacob :)
