Jacob this poem is masterful in structure and emotional affect. The alliteration of the first two lines hooks and reels in the reader then hit with the poetic greatness of the next two lines. The vagueness of meaning in contrast to the sharp imagery causes the mind to stop full course and return again and again in search of meaning to such colorful images. Psychologically loaded with meaning and metaphor a true masterpiece my friend.
This gave me shivers. I love the clear feeling this evoked in me. Lost rain, bloom deceit. Powerful stuff, the diction tickles my brain and is inspiring to hear.
This poem has such strong imagery. It gives me a feeling of deception in the family. The betrayal of bonds of blood. The loss of something precious and the eventual fallout, a desolation in the face of dysfunctional relationships. Dear Jacob, your poetry is breathtaking always!
great title. really connects to your poem. this really resonates with me. it reminds me of when i was a young girl, figuring out living with the overwhelming cover of my parents gone. thank you j. -mabel

Connection...communication....without it, there can be no familial harmony. Very sad emotions in this one, Jacob. The alliteration adds to the power of the poem. Lydi**
Drops of connection is a great title. Communication is key for maintaining happy family relationships. Blood ties don’t necessarily mean harmony. Blood ties can and do cause much rainfall and storms too. There needs to be a strong flow of connectivity. Droplets are meager.
