Words Stayed here last Night

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Words Stayed here last Night

vacant dreams

there is room at the inn

for flights of fancy

to linger for the night

but there is no room service

just vending machines in the hallway

for self-serving guests

to find refreshment

until the new day breaks

and it is time for fantasy

to check out

and maid service

to change the sheets

slept in

by unfinished poems.
