holding a sign with a slip knot faithA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoholding a sign with a slip knot faith it's too windy to poem gusts of regurgitation of sad digestion bad love does not sit well in the heart but no medicine cures that only time but even in perfect doses time fails even as the dose is doubled writing a tragic love poem in a calm cubicle keeps words from flying off a page but we still hear the wind the sound is a haunting echo intrepid faith in bonding might as well let go the clasp might just kill both of us passion was never enough to really tie a firm knot I am tossing myself into the air waving at you and when the gusts do subside the momentum has already crossed us over to oblivion's corner where we clasp a sign for help knowing our hand will never hold that lover's again. erin-cilberto 3/27/24 © 2024 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
