Delivery ChargeA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoDelivery
Charge a
million words passed me by and in
the morning I took
last night's pizza out of
the ice box and
typed some cold words onto
the page the
cheese melted with the thought of her
in my arms I bit
into some sentiment the
topics spicy and still
crisp the
thought of her in my arms I
loved her until
the electricity shorted then
we became our own leftovers something
missing besides the parmesan can we
reheat romance and
have it taste as good as the first time? I want
to love her again but I
keep looking at the expensive receipt wondering
if we could afford to try
it again then, just
started typing. erin-cilberto 2/23/24 © 2024 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
